Dear StoneBridge Friends and Family,
By the grace of God, StoneBridge is on great footing. In the last year, our outreach to the community continued and, in some ways, grew. The Golf Tournament raised more money for Sarah's House than the previous year. We began a new partnership with Gigi's playhouse. We deepened our support for the Dayspring clinic in Uganda. We came alongside our partners in Haiti. The monthly meals with Samaritan Center continued. We accomplished our supply drive with James Storehouse. This past year, StoneBridge continued to reach out and bless the world God has placed us in.
Internally, StoneBridge saw a new opportunity to deepen our community in faith with the Second Hour offerings. Our Growth Groups remained strong as new members and attenders were incorporated into Growth Groups. This past year, we welcomed 18 new members to the congregation through Confirmation Class and Membership Discernment and had chances to celebrate baptisms.
With Kristen Purvis taking on the role of Director of Children and Family Ministries and with Pastor Ryan being recently ordained as the Designated Associate Pastor for Youth and Family Ministries, we saw some changes in staffing. We are excited to see how God blesses their ministries and are grateful for the many volunteers who work alongside Director Kristen and Pastor Ryan.
We experienced some frustration with our plans for an Outdoor Sanctuary, as the bids came back far more expensive than anticipated. However, the Session regrouped quickly and we are pursuing plans to develop the pad into an outdoor fellowship space, including a fully inclusive playground for families and children with disabilities. We continue to move forward in faith, trusting that God will use our resources to bless the community around us and extend God's love to others.
All in all, this past year was an encouraging one for StoneBridge. God is at work in our midst and I'm excited to see what God does through us in the coming year.
It is an honor to serve as your Senior Pastor and I can't wait to share the hope of Jesus with you in 2025 and 2026!
