Groups are a place for you to make friends and get connected. They're also an opportunity for you to learn how to apply biblical truths to your life. Growth groups are where "outsiders" become "insiders," unconnected people get connected, the impersonal becomes personal, and "the church" becomes "my church." At the bottom of this page you'll find videos of people talking about their experience in groups at StoneBridge.
What happens at a Growth Group meeting?
Most groups meet for about 1½ - 2 hours. They typically include light refreshments, a time of study and conversation, and prayer. You can participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable. What if my group isn't a good fit?
We want you to feel comfortable with the people in your group. New groups are launched three times a year, with registration in January, May, and September. If a particular group isn't a good match, feel free to attend another. Since our Growth Groups are limited to 6-10 weeks (unless you want to keep meeting), opportunities to leave a group and join another are built into the calendar. What Growth Groups are being offered? How else can I support Growth Groups at StoneBridge?
In addition to attending a group and praying for our Growth Group ministry, you can also host a small group. All it takes to be a HOST is that you…• Have a heart for people,
• Open your home to guests,
• Serve some coffee or light refreshments, and
• Turn on your DVD (for video based studies).
Our pastors and Growth Group Ministry Team will be there to offer support, encouragement, and training to help you in your ministry and service as a Growth Group host or leader.
