Next Steps in Faith
God wants all of us to grow in fellowship, discipleship, ministry, evangelism and worship. It's by balancing those five purposes that we live out God's plan for our life. More than anything else, the StoneBridge Community Church family wants to come beside you and help you grow in each of these areas.
One of the ways we can help you on your spiritual journey is through our Christian Life and Service Seminars (CLASS). These include:
CLASS 101 is a one-session, basic introduction to the church designed to clearly explain who we are and what we believe. By the end of Class 101, you’ll have an understanding of what it means to be committed to Jesus Christ and to a church family, and will have an opportunity to become a member of StoneBridge Community Church if you choose. Because we believe that church membership is a necessary and important part of a person’s growth in Christ, if you decide that StoneBridge is not where God is leading you, we will be happy to help you find another church.
All Christians eventually ask the same questions: How can I get closer to God? How do I grow in my faith? In this seminar, you will learn four habits that will energize and renew your spiritual life. First, you will learn practical steps to making time with God a powerful part of every day through Bible reading and study. Second, every growing Christian needs to talk with God in prayer. In this seminar you'll discover that God desires conversation with you and He's much more interested in you authentically talking with him than He is in critiquing your prayers. A third area that is covered is financial giving. Few things give a more useful glimpse into our spiritual lives than how we handle our financial resources. Finally, you'll clearly see the value of Christian relationships. At StoneBridge Community Church, there are lots of opportunities to gather with other members, attenders, and friends in our Growth Groups. Growth Groups are 10-13 week small group experiences offered three times a year, October-December, February-April, and June-August, with registration is September, January, and May.
When you became a Christian, you welcomed God's gift of salvation and the hope of eternal life. God also gave you a purpose and significance in your life. God has given each of us the opportunity to serve others and make a difference in others' lives. When you serve others in Jesus' name, that's called ministry. God didn't design ministry for just a few people with seminary degrees. At StoneBridge Community Church, we believe that every member of our church is a minister. In this three-week seminar, you will learn how God can use your Spiritual Gifts, your Heart (passions), your Abilities, Personality and Experiences to minister to others in need. This is discovering your SHAPE for ministry.
Our men's and women's encounter weekends are life-transforming spiritual growth experiences focused on helping you find true freedom in Christ. Whether you’re a long time believers or just starting out in the Christian faith, the StoneBridge Encounter weekends offer an opportunity to experience God’s grace and the freedom that flows from it in a fresh way.
